TFJB Challenge #22 Purple, Orange, Green, Eek! It's Halloween.... and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge; Spooky!.... "The WOMAN was driven WITCHY!"

Here's a huge step out of my normal box- a fun Halloween with Tim Holtz products! I'm usually not a big fan of Halloween itself, but the stuff Tim has out this past couple of years has really hit my "LIKE" spot! And since I love making things that have a story behind them...I couldn't resist...

*evil laughter*

This is one of those projects where my ArtMuse just took over and I didn't have a whole lot of photos along the way. Those that I did take don't really need much explaining, since I made very good use of all those TH IdeaOlogy goodies!! Let's take a scroll down...

It all began with an order from

The Funkie Junkie Boutique

I finally got my hands on some Tim Holtz Distress Embossing Glaze!

Linda always sends extra little freebies, and I took advantage of these-

she gets to know her customers, and she knows I am crazy for TH!

I then mixed in some other Tim Holtz items; some oldies to go along with the new goodies.

I broke out a few old TH dies and stamp sets to use with newer dies/3D Embosser as well.

Then the fun took off- starting with a TH Etcetera Mini Tag and Etcetera Bracket Shelf.

I wanted this to be a double-sided Tag, so I needed 2 sets of the Bracket shelving.

I just LOVE burnishing (using a glue to adhere the TH Wallpaper, allow to dry,

then rub at all the edges with TH Sanding Block) to create a worn look on all the edging.

As I've done in a previous Etcetera tag; I made sure to make another

reinforcer piece for the second side.

Then I distressed with TH Black Soot Ink (regul;ar) and

rubbed in some Black Soot Distress Crayon as well.

You can see the 1/2 circle punch which was used to help make the 2nd reinforcer.

And now.... a single candle to light on the mantle...

Covering the candlestick area and forming it to a rounded shape

(by adding more in the middle of the candlestick- all up and down the length),

and giving the candle area a bit of rough bumpiness with the Ranger Texture Paste.

I used just a plain embossing gold metal powder for the candlestick-

to really set it apart from the candle itself.

I Inked up the rest (The candle got the Antique Linen Distress Oxide Ink and Glaze,

while the flame on the candle received the Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide Ink and

Fired Brick Distress Glaze)...

...then added, and heated up the Glazes.

OHMYGOODNESS....I AM IN LOVE!!!!!!

SIDE ONE

This is what is happening in my life right now:

I have things 'just so' throughout our home, and

I'm a career Homemaker.

I go away for a MONTH, and the ChiefHubby is on his own at home.

1) A new kitty has acquired us- he just popped up this summer and now

his name is Artful Dodger Larimore. Named for "Oliver" in which the Artful Dodger sings "Consider yourself one of us!", but we'll call him Dodger for my love of LA Dodger baseball.

2) The ChiefHubby has long joked about 'rearranging' things while I am gone.

WARNING: DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS, DEAR!!

3) As of this typing, I am only two days away from returning home. It's time to get

the sweeper out and finally make the bed, Dear. *eye roll*

My chance to use those TH Crazy Cats!!

Dodger all dressed up for Halloween and expecting the food from ChiefHubby.

The spider...I can just imagine how many cobwebs are waiting to swoop down

and strangle me in my sleep.*

The coloring here is much closer to the real color.

It got a bit washed out in the finished photo up above.

I am a collector- Americana Primitives.

My photos of our family are the 'art' that fills my walls with my collection.

So I needed to have a collection here, and this was SO FUN to do!

I absolutely ADORE minitures!!!

This is a top-side view of the collection... you can see the glint of the flat apothecary jars.

There are also more black TH IdeaOlogy roses on the waistline area of her dress.

Think "I Love Lucy" - the episode where the girls had a tough time getting ready

fast enough for the men. Lucy had a very tight dress on with a rose on the waistline

that made it impossible for her to sit down. Lucille Ball (along with Carol Burnett)

are 2 of my fave actresses/comediennes.

SIDE TWO

Don't make me get my broom out, Dear!

You wouldn't like me once I get my broom out, trust me.

*cackling laugh*

Witchy Woman is built up so that she stands out of the frame...

like one of those photos on the wall that has someone coming out of it!

Yes; the number is an upside-down 13;

it's doubling as a 31 that way!

You'll notice one tiny gaff... I used my heater one second too long on the plastic

for the witch's glass ball. But I did love how the Gumball Machine was cuttable to a stand!

Both sides are tied into the same story and it made sense to pop them both out like this.

It makes me think of one of those revolving hidden doors in a haunted house.

So there you have it!

The end of Summer 2020 is upon us much faster than I'd prefer it to be. And instead of lazing in my pool, or catching the Fall winds in my sailboat, I'm spending the month of September and October (5 weeks) up in Red Wing, Minnesota. I've missed way too much of the youngest Grandbaby, so this will catch me up- I hope. I am squealing with glee on just my 2nd day today: Baby Jamie pulled himself up to stand!! What a treat for this Memaw! I've missed all the other things so far, because Facebook/Messenger is just not the same as being there. With the COVID19 going on; it's been a rough year for families to be together. This is only the second time in 37 years of married life that the ChiefHubby and I have been apart- the first being his trip to Haiti for Missions over a one week

period in 2015. He drove me up, with hearing pup, HunniPi, to join the younger set of Kids, youngest GrandBaby, and three Grandpups- it's a full house- and drove back yesterday to be back at work today...on his 58th Birthday. (HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DEAR!!!) Before we left, we closed up the pool and took "The Wind In Her Sail" out of dock. We also spent Labor Day weekend camping out on the older set of Kids' acreage. Papaw will still be able to see them each week, and I have already Facetimed with them so they can see Cousin Jamie with Memaw. Just

before we headed up, the ChiefHubby had his 3rd surgery for the blood clots- the lung clot is totally gone! Praise The LORD! So they were able to take the filter out and said his blood is thinned just fine now. What a Summer this has been.

I've been a bit absent during the last Funkie Junkie Boutique Challenge due to constraints of time. But I'm geared up to not only try to be in all their Challenges while here, I have TWO makes to post (soon on the 2nd one)!

So let's get to it:

This booklet actually began in 2017, but was only a collection

of a few die cuts and saved trinkets by the time I got it back out to finish.

So there was a LOT of die cutting to be done once again, in order to have enough to make a book with. I used Mat Board for the base- so these are very thick,

very sturdy pages!
