I'm Baaaaaaaaack!! And starting a new Challenge with Frilly &Funkie: "2018-The Year Of"...

Well! It's about high time I got back!

And, it has been a long haul, lemme tell ya! Been a LOT of changes around here- all good though! More on all that later, as well as catching up on tons of things I've made over this last year. But, for now..... I'm BAAAACK! :)

The Challenges I am hoping to keep up with are sponsored by Frilly And Funkie Challenge Blog - where I also plugged in for the Tim Holtz Book3 Challenges archived in my articles. And, of course, there are PRIZES to be had- sponsored by the Funkie Junkie Boutique !!

This FIRST CHALLENGE (Dare I say I MADE the deadline for the FIRST ONE?!) is all about what word or theme you would choose for your year of 2018... I'd def hafta answer that with the word "HEART"! Not only because I love hearts, but it seems to be a main theme in my life; since GOD is love makes total sense to me to always put HIM first in everything, and since HE gave you all the people you love, as well as everything you have (HE is Creator of all), then my HEART belongs to HIM. So, since my life with my ChiefHubby is all along that lifestyle, I'll go with that. I happened to have a favorite set of artistry from one of my older brothers- the one closest up in age to me. He did these just after we were married, so we are dressed for that event in these. I've used them once before for a Tim Holtz '12 Tags' and won for February that year. (Blogged Post in Articles) Since they are a very fave gift, and have hung on our hallway wall ever since- I was smart to scan them off not too long after getting our first 93?!? So, why not use them again, since the theme is still so STRONG!

Yes...that is actual metal- soft copper that I used with a new die that is actually a retired TH Alterations Heart with Wings!

I chose to put BOTH "heart" AND 'soul"... seems to me they always SHOULD go together.

These little trinkets came off a bracelet I purchased during a trip to Glacier National Park in Montana.... 2016. I toldyaso : I'll FIND a use for it!

Ok, I totally admit that this idea came from one of Tim's earlier tags. BUT, I dare ya to try cutting it with the TH Heart With Wings die: it was NOT easy to get this together. The trick was to actually pull it in HALF and THEN cut with the die, so that both halves come out. Then tiny-tape it back together to make it one piece again.

As usual- I can't seem to put out a Tag without also doing the BACKSIDE...

If you're going to say "part of this is upside-down"... you're wrong.
Sorry, but my idea is that it should be looked at as if it were going "full circle", so the eye will travel around the entire thing. The "No.12" is for all the months of the year that you spend putting HEART things FIRST- and that starts with JESUS, in moho.

The detail of those tiny TH Fasteners are a bit difficult for RA-induced hands. But, I made it work!
And- I didn't get time to upload the BTS pics I took, but you'll notice I had a ton of FUN with those new Tim Holtz Oxide Distress Inks !!! I used both Vintage Photo and Iced Spruce on this entire project.

There's the TH RubOns that I absolutely LOVE using!!

Lastly- here's the hint on the backside: "heart" on the TH Word Key (another favie item still!) and a red diamond.... both items can be found on the FRONTSIDE; if you're game to FIND THEM! :)

Thanks for popping in- especially in so long!!!
See you again, SOON, with more!
Stay safe, and as always:

So much incredible detail on this single, double sided (squeal!) tag! I love the little king and queen cards dressed up with your brother's artwork, and your 3D heart! I could go on and on about all these incredible meaningful details, but I will summarize with WOW! Thank you for preparing this for our The Year of challenge at Frilly and Funkie! Hugs! Sara Emily
